Gregory Thielker: alone with you in rainy weather

The whole life of this artist is devoted to one goal, and he decided with her in his youth. And this goal is to fully realize yourself in painting. He teaches at Clark University, reads courses in watercolor technique, gives lessons in painting at specialized classes. To achieve the status of a teacher, he went through a long learning curve. He graduated from the School of Modern Art in France, then defended his bachelor's degree in Williamstown. A master's degree was awarded at the University of Washington. And today he did not leave the path of his own education - he conducts scientific work in the study of superrealism. It originated in the far sixties of the last century in the US and then, fairly quickly, spread across Europe. This direction, the main goal of which is thorough accuracy and absolute detail in the reproduction of the surrounding reality. Actually, by and large, imitation of a photo.

Undoubtedly, superrealism became the most popular style in the works of Gregory Thielker. He mastered this technique in perfection. The artist's paintings create the effect of presence in the viewer. They seem to put the contemplator inward. It begins to seem like you are sitting in a car, and outside the window the world is flooded with rain. You are warm and cozy, you want to look at the drops falling on the glass and calmly reflect on something of your own, plunging into thoughts. Because the wet glass creates an artificial barrier, fences off the world, invites you to look inside yourself. Excellent occupation for any time of day and night.
