Gregory Thielker: alone with you in rainy weather

The whole life of this artist is devoted to one goal, and he decided with her in his youth. And this goal is to fully realize yourself in painting. He teaches at Clark University, reads courses in watercolor technique, gives lessons in painting at specialized classes. To achieve the status of a teacher, he went through a long learning curve. He graduated from the School of Modern Art in France, then defended his bachelor's degree in Williamstown. A master's degree was awarded at the University of Washington. And today he did not leave the path of his own education - he conducts scientific work in the study of superrealism. It originated in the far sixties of the last century in the US and then, fairly quickly, spread across Europe. This direction, the main goal of which is thorough accuracy and absolute detail in the reproduction of the surrounding reality. Actually, by and large, imitation of a photo.

Undoubtedly, superrealism became the most popular style in the works of Gregory Thielker. He mastered this technique in perfection. The artist's paintings create the effect of presence in the viewer. They seem to put the contemplator inward. It begins to seem like you are sitting in a car, and outside the window the world is flooded with rain. You are warm and cozy, you want to look at the drops falling on the glass and calmly reflect on something of your own, plunging into thoughts. Because the wet glass creates an artificial barrier, fences off the world, invites you to look inside yourself. Excellent occupation for any time of day and night.

Fredo: the era of the numbers has not yet come

It is clear that the tablet in our time is not very expensive. Especially in comparison with a car. Although, there are such cars that it is better to immediately compare the price of a digital device with a spacecraft. One seventeen-year-old Chilean boy does not have a tablet, despite the availability of its price. But still very much wants to draw three-dimensional drawings. Maybe an ordinary person, not endowed with the spark of artistic talent, would have sighed about it and would have forgotten about his dream over time. Fredo went his own way: instead of a computer gadget, he picked up a simple pencil.

If two white sheets of paper are joined along a larger edge at an angle of 90 degrees, a two-dimensional space will be obtained. For convenience of viewing and preservation of integrity it is necessary to put this lightweight construction with support to the wall. Those people who are hard to imagine it, especially recommended to look at the drawings of this Chilean talent.

Some say that the power of Fredo's drawings is in the details, but that's half the truth. Images of this Chilean boy really enliven the space. The elephant literally lifts the trunk in a moment, and the dead man wants to throw a couple of coins of alms. The empty glass is confidently held by a strong hand, and the snake will now flee in an unknown direction. And this is with a simple pencil and two sheets of paper! It is impossible to imagine the masterpieces that the guy will draw when the tablet, at last, gets to him in hands!

Petras Lukosius about a ray of light in a dark forest

This Lithuanian artist organically combines in himself an inner attraction to the sacred moments created by nature itself, love of the sun and contemplation of its rays. Petras Lukosius was born back in Soviet Lithuania, already in the distant 1956. As a teenager, at the age of fourteen, he began to attend the Klaipeda Children's Art School, similar electives were open to all comers and absolutely free. Then he entered the Technical College of Decorative and Applied Art "Telsiai". But this education seemed to him inadequate, and in 1979 he graduated from the Applied Arts Department of the Vilnius Academy. Being a pupil of the senior classes, he already took part in numerous exhibitions. And nowadays his paintings are decorated with homes in almost all countries of the world. And no wonder - so very life-affirming is the plot chosen by him forever.

The dark forest always looks ominous. It's not for nothing that Russian idioms use this idiom extensively: there is nothing to find in it, because it is impassable and you can not see anything. One hope - a ray of light, he alone is able to drastically change the situation. Petras Lukosius is a Latvian artist, therefore he is a great connoisseur of dark forests, because such is his homeland. In addition, this unbridled nature is so consistent with the national temperament. Obviously, with the choice of the topic he did not have a moment of doubt.

A bright beam in the paintings of Petras Lukosius passes through the thickness of the crowns of trees, and opens them in this layer. It can be seen how he literally pushes his way, and his strength is so great that he has no reason to doubt his own success. His way is life itself, and she, as you know, always finds a way out.

Brian M. Viveros on eroticism and addiction

Brian Viveros is a non-professional illustrator who managed to become famous all over the world because of his special look at female beauty. His work relates to this trend in contemporary art as a fetish art. And the subject of the image are brutal young ladies, who always hold a burning cigarette in their mouths. The garments of the heroines are varied, but, often, they are decorated with colorful colored tattoos and bleeding wounds. Distinguished by a strong desire for surrealism, Brian M. Viveros generously gives his heroines hypertrophied parts of the body, and still surrounds them with a unique atmosphere and marvelous accessories.

A smoking woman is an ambiguous public phenomenon. Someone she irritates, someone excites, and someone calls her a man in a skirt. American artist Brian Viveros managed to convey in the portrait of such a woman a bright fetish, and with it his attitude. No doubt, the author is in love with his characters. Our time belongs to emancipation and permissiveness and provides any number of opportunities for experimenting with one's own appearance. New trends could not but be reflected in contemporary art, creating a female image in painting.

This was enough to make his work spread all over the planet, appeared in prestigious art publications, and collectors of sur-art threw Brian Viveros numerous orders. After only seven years, he became a finalist of the Erotic Awards and received the prestigious title of Artist of the Year.

All present in the portraits, no doubt, very bad girls. Erotica on the verge of porn, screaming fetish. Predictable poses prevail, glaring looks flash. There are visual differences between the girls, but the story line brings the idea that every heroine is the embodiment of the same hooligan. Brian Viveros' paintings are very specific, designed for an amateur, but judging by the popularity of such fans in the world is very, very much.
